Performance and showreel
That children have much more ability to listen to their intuition is an undeniable fact. At 9 years old I heard mine for the first time when it told me to ask my mother to take me to a modelling agency because I wanted to take photos. From there a series of coincidences (to give it a name because I don't really believe in them) led me to be take the leading role of the TV Globo miniseries “Today is Maria's Day.” That job gave me many awards and the first nomination for a Brazilian actress at the International Emmy Awards, but more than that it opened the doors to a world that from the first second I would learn to recognize as my home.
There is no place where I feel better than in a studio/movie set, no matter where I am in the world and no matter how many hours I have to wait (those of us who work in that field know that it's always many). It's where I feel safest, most comfortable, most me.
It is where I grew up and got to know myself through my characters, mixing my experiences with theirs but always aware of that very tenuous line that separates the real self from the fictional self every time the director says “Cut.”
20 years and many soap operas, series and movies later, I can safely say that I have enjoyed every second, every camera, every light and every scenario, no matter how crazy and tiring it was.
I am also lucky to be able to say that the little Carol still lives in me and still listens to her intuition because 2 years ago she spoke to me again and this time she said “We have to move to Spain” and now here we are opening the doors of a new world which also already feels like home.
I leave you my showreel, some photos and little by little I will upload stories and more things about my work here!
